Evidence called for mental health probe

The inquiry looking at whether the deaths of three young people were linked to the closure of a Brisbane mental health facility is calling for evidence.

The commission of inquiry into the closure of the Barrett Adolescent Centre, headed by retired Justice Margaret Wilson, will examine the former Liberal National Party Government's decision to close the Barrett Adolescent Psychiatric Centre at Wacol.

The inquiry called for evidence within its terms of reference on Monday and will hold an initial public hearing on September 30.
