Qld car crash injures eight

Eight people, including two teenagers and three children, have been injured in a two-car, head-on crash south of Brisbane.

A man, 72, and a woman, 45, are among those hurt. They are in a stable condition at Gold Coast University Hospital.

They suffered minor neck, chest and hand injuries, an ambulance spokesman said.

The collision happened just before 1pm on MacDonnell Road in the Tamborine Mountain suburb of Eagle Heights.
