Driver nearly crashes into Brisbane River

A motorist has narrowly avoiding driving into the Brisbane River after crashing down an embankment onto a busy bike path in the city's CBD.

It is believed the male driver, aged in his 60s, suffered a medical episode when his sedan veered off Coronation Drive near Milton at midday.

No pedestrians or cyclists were harmed, while the driver was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
