Driver incinerated in horror Qld crash

A man incinerated in a horror crash where a vehicle hit a tree and burst into flames southwest of Brisbane has not been identified.

Emergency services were called to Freeman Rd at Inala about 6.30am on Sunday.

The vehicle, a maroon 2007 Mazda CX-7 with Queensland registration 560KNF, was engulfed by fire following the crash.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said the vehicle was "fully involved" when crews arrived and the driver could not be saved.

Police are continuing inquiries to formally identify the man and are appealing for anyone with information about the man or the vehicle to come forward.

A Forensic Crash Unit investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
