Driver almost hits 200km/h in outback Qld

A driver has been clocked speeding at almost 200km/h along a remote stretch of highway in Queensland's outback.
The 25-year-old man was pulled over on Monday afternoon near Barcaldine, east of Longreach, travelling 192km/h in a 110km zone, police say.
He was charged with speeding and possessing drug utensils and is scheduled to make his second court appearance at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday.
