Dozens charged over Qld street brawl

A street brawl that dragged on for an entire day in a Queensland country town has ended with 16 people being charged and a man taken to hospital with head injuries.

Police say a group of people fought on Cherbourg's streets, northwest of Brisbane, from 6am to 5pm on Sunday.

A 27-year-old man was flown to the Toowoomba Hospital with non-life threatening head injuries.

Sixteen people have been charged with a number of offences, including public nuisance, breach of bail, possess liquor in restricted area, threatening violence and assault.
