Cyclist threatened with machete in Qld

A Queensland man allegedly used a machete to menace a cyclist before turning on a Good Samaritan who had been filming the attack on his phone.

It's alleged the armed man threatened the cyclist after getting out of his car at Kippa Ring, north of Brisbane.

But the attack ended when the man saw a witness taking video and demanded he hand over his phone, police said.

A woman who was sitting in the car also allegedly made threats towards the witness, who ran off.

A man, 24, and woman, 25, have been charged over the incident and are due to front Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Thursday.
