Crash-happy Qld driver to appear in court
A driver accused of crashing into about 10 cars before pulling up, getting out, and trying to steal another has been charged with 16 offences.
The 52-year-old man, who will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday, allegedly collided with the vehicles along a 3km stretch of road in Churchill, outside Ipswich, on Monday morning.
Police say he was restrained by members of the public before being taken into custody, while a number of people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
His charges include 10 counts of wilful damage and two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, attempted unlawful entry of a vehicle, common assault, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
