Controversial Qld cop gets Nov date

Controversial Queensland cop Chris Hurley will return to court in November on charges stemming from a Gold Coast car chase.

The 48-year-old senior sergeant is facing two charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle relating to his alleged behaviour during a car chase at Pacific Pines on May 17, 2015.

He fronted the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday, where his matter was adjourned until November 10.

Hurley, who is currently suspended from the Queensland Police Service, did not comment to waiting media as he left the court precinct with his legal team.

A 50-year-old male senior constable is also facing a count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle over the incident.

The other suspended officer is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 12.
