Collision causes gas leak in Brisbane

Police have declared an emergency situation in Brisbane's south after two cars collided and caused a gas leak in an industrial area.

The declaration was made more than two hours after the accident at Salisbury, causing all nearby businesses in the precinct to be evacuated as emergency services contain the leak.

Police anticipate roads surrounding the area will be closed for at least three hours and have asked people to stay away.
