Ten protesters have been released without charge after staging a sit-in inside a Brisbane Commonwealth Bank Branch to call for the lender to rule out funding the Adani coal mine.

The protesters say they hope to put pressure on bank ahead of a board meeting next Tuesday.

Police confirmed a group of protesters were asked to leave the building and some left voluntarily.

Ten people who refused to leave were taken into custody before being released without charge.

One of the protesters, 76-year-old June Norman, said she'd closed her account with the bank after 55 years when she found out they were Adani's banker.
