Chopper helps nab Qld teen driver

Tyre spikes and the police helicopter have been used to catch a Queensland teenager behind the wheel of a stolen car.

The 17-year-old failed to stop when police tried to pull him over in the Loganholme area, south of Brisbane, on Sunday night.

The police helicopter was brought in to track him when he fled on foot after the spikes brought the car to a halt.

He's been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving without a licence, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
