Girl stable after triple fatal Qld crash

A seven-year-old girl who survived a fatal crash in north west Queensland is in a stable condition with minor injuries at Mount Isa Hospital.

The accident occurred about 6am on Wednesday between Burketown and Gregory, 950km west of Townsville.

Police said the car became engulfed in flames following the single vehicle crash.

Three people died at the scene but police say they are yet to be formally identified.
