Teen with metal bar locks down Qld school

A teenager has been charged with public nuisance after brandishing a metal bar outside a primary school.
Hatton Vale State School, west of Ipswich, was placed in lockdown about 10.40am on Wednesday after the 16-year-old boy was spotted walking along a nearby path.
Police said he was waving a small metal bar around and using it to hit power poles and fences while talking to himself.

He was taken into police custody and charged with public nuisance.
The teenager will face court at a later date.
