The remaining fraud charges against convicted former University of Queensland researcher Caroline Barwood have been dropped.

Barwood, 31, was in October found guilty of two charges of fraud and three charges of attempted fraud after a five-day trial in the Brisbane District Court relating to a false study into Parkinson's disease.

She was given a two-year wholly suspended jail sentence, but still faced a charge of fraud and attempted fraud, which the Department of Public Prosecutions dropped on Tuesday.
