Vision released of car suspected to be involved in shooting in small Queensland town

Vision has been released of a car police suspect of being involved in an attempted murder north-west of Brisbane as police attempt to hunt down a trio of suspects.

Three people entered a home in Chinchilla about 1.30pm on December 5 and allegedly confronted a 36-year-old man.

During an argument, the man was shot in the neck.

"The group have then fled the address in a silver utility vehicle with a white bumper," police alleged in a statement.

After emergency services rushed to the scene, the victim was flown to hospital in serious condition at the time.

Police are investigating the incident and have released CCTV footage of the Mazda BT-50 driving around the area ahead of the alleged shooting.

The car is described as having a "distinctive, damaged" white front bumper.

Police are appealing to anyone who has seen the vehicle or has any information to reach out and report it.

"Anyone who has seen the vehicle, has dashcam footage or knows where the vehicle is now is urged to contact police immediately," police said.

"If the vehicle is sighted, do not approach the vehicle or occupants."
