CCC gathering evidence against ex-mayor

The Queensland corruption watchdog is continuing to build its brief of evidence against embattled former Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale.

Pisasale was expelled from the ALP in June after being granted bail on charges of extortion and assault, allegations which he has vowed to fight.

During a brief mention on Monday the Brisbane Magistrates Court heard the Crime and Corruption Commission needed until September 11 to compile its evidence and Pisasale's matter was adjourned to later that month.
