Carmichael mine hits another legal hurdle

Indian mining giant Adani is facing another legal hurdle over its planned Carmichael coalmine, with a man who lost a native title challenge in court lodging an appeal.

The Federal Court last month rejected Adrian Burragubba's challenge against a National Native Title Tribunal decision that allowed the Queensland government to issue mining licences for the project.

Mr Burragubba, a member of the Wangan and Jagalingou People, on Thursday filed an appeal to the full bench of the Federal Court, saying "we will continue to resist this damaging coalmine".
