Car turns into fireball on Qld highway

GOLD COAST - March 23 AAP - A driver has walked away unharmed after their car burst into flames on a Gold Coast highway.

The black Mercedes caught alight around 11am on a Pacific Motorway offramp at Oxenford, emergency services say.

All lanes of the highway have since reopened but it is not known what sparked the fire.
