Car sought after drive-by shooting in Qld

Police are searching for a lime green or yellow sedan after an apparent drive-by shooting at a Sunshine Coat unit.

Two people who were inside weren't hurt, but the shots damaged an external door, a washing machine and a side fence at the Mooloolaba property.

Residents of Ulmarra Court have told police they heard shots and a car speeding off about 4am.

"But the occupants of the property only discovered the damage around 8am," police said.

Police are appealing for public help to find the sedan seen on CCTV footage.
