Driver allegedly crashed into house before stabbing man to death

A Queensland man has been charged with murder after allegedly crashing a car into his ex-partner’s home north of Brisbane and fatally stabbing a man inside during a deadly rampage.

It is believed the 50-year-old victim’s teenage son was among three children to have witnessed the attack.

It is understood the charged man, also aged 50, was refused entry at his former partner’s home on Chappell Road, Delaney’s Creek around 7:40pm last night.

He then allegedly ploughed his car into the building, attempted to start a fire or explosion and stabbed the male resident to death.

It is understood the victim is the new partner of the woman living at the home.

The woman and children were unharmed in the attack.

The driver, from Woodford, faces a host of charges, with murder the most serious of those.

He is also charged with four counts of attempted murder and one count each of murder, enter dwelling with intent, contravention of a domestic violence order, driving while disqualified, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and attempted arson.

He is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
