Woman dead, school forced into lockdown after stolen car crashes north of Brisbane

A woman has died and a man is in custody after a stolen car caused a head-on crash north of Brisbane this morning.
The collision happened at Archer Street near Victoria Lane in Woodford just after 6am.
Emergency services were told a white Isuzu D-max ute and an orange Toyota Corolla had collided head-on.

The ute was reported stolen from a home on McLoughlin Road in Morayfield at around 3.45am.
The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old woman, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the stolen ute, a 31-year-old man, fled on foot, but was found by police at a nearby state school which was placed into lockdown.
"The department can confirm Woodford State School underwent a brief lockdown today due to a suspected intruder on school grounds," a Queensland Education spokesperson said.
"Queensland Police Service attended to search school grounds. The lockdown was lifted at 9.10am on police advice and classes resumed as normal."
The man was taken into custody and is co-operating with police.
Investigations are ongoing.
