Brisbane motorcyclist hits deer

BRISBANE Sept 3 AAP - A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries after colliding with a deer in a west Brisbane suburb.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was riding in Pinjarra Hills when he hit the animal about 1am on Thursday.

He was taken to hospital with abdominal injuries and possible internal bleeding, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
