Brisbane man, 74, charged with arson

A 74-year-old Brisbane man has been charged with arson over a fire that extensively damaged a corner store in Moorooka.
The fire engulfed the Ipswich Road business late on December 29 and forced officers to close the road for over two hours.
Police on Wednesday said a 74-year-old man from Spring Hill had been charged with arson over the incident and would appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 30.
