BRISBANE'S ANZAC CENTENARY PARADE

* HOW MANY?: More than 40,000 - the most in recent generations - lined six deep in some positions to watch 10,000 current and former servicemen and women march.

* WHO WAS THERE?: Governor Paul de Jersey, RSL South Eastern District President Wendy Taylor, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, Police Commissioner Ian Stewart, Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, Chief Justice Tim Carmody and several defence force dignitaries.

* INTERESTING FACT: The eldest "marcher" was a 103-year-old WWII veteran taxied through the streets of the CBD.
