Brisbane bus driver punched in the head

A 70-year-old Brisbane bus driver has been repeatedly punched in the head by a passenger.

Police say the driver was assaulted in Red Hill by a 37-year-old man, who then tried to steal some coins.

The passenger, who allegedly fled the bus but was found by police, will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.
