A 7-Eleven store in Brisbane has been accused of underpaying 12 workers more than $80,000 over a year.

The staff, including international students, from the store at West End were allegedly paid as little as $13 an hour.

The Fair Work Ombudsman alleges franchisee Sheng-Chieh Lo short-changed workers a total of $82,611 in the year to September 2014.

7-Eleven is facing a national inquiry into allegations of underpayments and false record keeping.

Nine stores are now facing legal action, including the operator of two Brisbane CBD stores, who fronted court earlier this month.

A final report from the Ombudsman is expected in the next few months.
