Man stabbed in pub after Mayweather fight

A man has been stabbed in the neck during a brawl that broke out at a Surfers Paradise bar after the Mayweather-McGregor boxing match.

The brawl broke out at Surfers Paradise Beer Garden on Sunday afternoon with police alleging during the fight, a 24-year-old man stabbed a 29-year-old man in the neck with a knife.

The 29-year-old was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with a significant but non-life-threatening wound and a 23-year-old man was also taken to hospital with a minor head injury.

The 24-year-old man has been arrested by police.

The brawl happened about two hours after the highly anticipated boxing match was streamed live in the venue.
