Perjury trial begins over Qld bikie brawl

A Gold Coast man involved in the infamous Broadbeach bikie brawl has pleaded not guilty to providing conflicting evidence to authorities.

Peter Mauric entered the plea on Wednesday as his trial on one count of perjury began at the Southport District Court.

Mauric is accused of providing statements to the Crime and Corruption Commission and during a trial in the Southport Magistrates Court which are in conflict to each other.

The trial has been adjourned until Thursday.
