Boy stable after reported Gold Coast fall

A young boy is in a stable condition in hospital after falling eight metres from a window at a Gold Coast holiday resort.

The four-year-old was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after the tumble at the Turtle Beach Resort at Mermaid Beach, the Nine Network reported.

A spokesperson for Gold Coast University Hospital told AAP the child was in a stable condition later that day.

He suffered two fractured arms in the fall.

It's understood the child was spared more severe injuries by landing on thick bushes after falling from an unlocked window during a game of hide-and-seek.
