Boy questioned over Queensland car crash

A 15-year-old boy is being questioned by police after two teenagers were critically injured in a car crash in Cairns.

A station wagon with a number of youths inside overturned after losing control at Woree on Wednesday morning.

An 18-year-old woman and 15-year-old girl are in a critical condition in Cairns Hospital, while two other young girls were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the allegedly stolen vehicle, believed to be a teenage boy, fled the scene.

A 15-year-old boy, who handed himself in to police, is expected to be charged with dangerously operating a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
