Boy missing west of Brisbane found safe

A boy reported missing from a home west of Brisbane has been located safe and well.

The seven-year-old disappeared from a Goodna home on Thursday morning.

He'd been playing at a friend's house nearby but forgot to tell anyone before he left, a spokesman for Queensland Police told AAP .

Police thanked media and members of the public after the boy returned home safely on Thursday evening.
