Body in Qld backyard dead for some time

Police are no longer treating the death of a man whose body sat in the backyard of a Queensland home for days as suspicious.

The man, 27, was discovered at the Meadowbrook home in Logan on Thursday evening by a visitor while the resident of the home, who knew the deceased, didn't appear to know there was a body in the yard.

Police originally treated the death as suspicious but changed that view after an autopsy to determine the cause.

A police spokeswoman said it appeared the man had been dead for some length of time before he was discovered.
