Billy Gordon still ‘under investigation’ despite reports, police say

Queensland MP Billy Gordon is still "under investigation" police say, despite earlier reports he had been cleared of domestic violence accusations.

The ABC had earlier reported Mr Gordon had said police would not be investigating the allegations further.

However, Queensland Police have since confirmed Mr Gordon remains "under investigation" but said it would be inappropriate to comment further.

Mr Gordon quit the Labor Party in March amid fiery criticism from Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk at revelations he had not disclosed parts of his criminal history or the allegations made against him.
