Newman suggests it's unnamed "Queenslanders" asking him about alleged links between Labor and bikie gangs: "The question Queenslanders are asking, we know they're asking this, is why would the Labor party get this support from criminal gangs and why are the Labor party so determined to repeal these laws?"

Palaszczuk on what Labor will do to the anti-bikie laws if they win office: "We will repeal and we will replace, but the fundamental principle is zero tolerance."

Electrical Trades Union response to claims they'd received money from bikie gangs: "It is a sign of sheer desperation from an out of touch, out of time government."

TODAY'S POLICIES

LNP - $3 million to support a Bundaberg City Council plan to build a new access road connecting the Bundaberg Ring Road to Kay McDuff Drive.

LABOR - $111 million to fund 1000 graduate nurses on 12-month contracts in Queensland hospitals each year for four years.
