Beer flows down busy road after ute becomes ‘tipsy’

A ute laden with beer has come a cropper on a busy roundabout in Townsville, Queensland, this morning.

The vehicle is understood to have been transporting dozens of cartons from a nearby hotel, when it became tipsy around 7.45am.

Video obtained by 9NEWS showed a lane of the roundabout blocked, as clean-up crews wasted no time clearing the carton carnage at the intersection of Oxley and Denham Streets, North Ward.

With the beer flowing down the drain, traffic was also moving by 8am.
