Austrian tourist missing in Qld

An Austrian tourist who wanted to see Uluru has gone missing after she started walking from Mackay.

Queensland Police are appealing for assistance in finding Sabrina Peterstorfer, 50, who set off for Alice Springs from Mount Pleasant on Sunday morning.

Police say she was visiting family who are concerned for her welfare after she left her mobile phone behind and also has limited access to money.

She is described as being Caucasian in appearance with a proportionate build, a fair complexion, around 159cm tall, with brown eyes and brown hair.
