Animal dies in Queensland vet clinic fire

A fire at Andergrove near Mackay has caused serious damage at a shopping complex including a veterinary clinic where at least one animal died, police say.

Police are investigating the blaze that damaged four businesses around 1am on Friday.

Animals had to be evacuated from the vet clinic.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage but a crime scene has been declared.
