US warship docks in Brisbane

An American warship carrying about a thousand military personnel has docked in Brisbane.
The USS Blue Ridge, usually based in Japan, arrived in the river city just before 11am as part of the Talisman Sabre joint training exercises between the Australian Defence Force and US military.
Hundreds of defence force personnel from the US, Australia, New Zealand and Japan are on board and will visit hospitals, schools and retirement homes during their Brisbane stay.
