Alleged north Queensland murderer in court

A north Queensland man accused of murdering another man he lived with has appeared in court.

Kyle Robert Thompson, 27, was charged with one count of murder after police found the body of a man in his 50s in the bathroom of a Townsville home on Friday.

A homicide investigation was launched following the discovery, which came after a member of the public rang police concerned they hadn't heard from someone living at the property.
