7-Eleven owner ripped off foreign worker
AAP
A 7-Eleven owner short-changed a foreign worker more than $21,000 by refusing to pay proper penalty rates.
The Federal Circuit Court this week fined Mubin Ul Haider, who owned and operated the 7-Eleven in the Brisbane CBD until it closed in 2014, almost $7000 for underpaying the student from Nepal.
The court ordered he pay the fine to his former employee.
