Gold Coast plastic surgeon found guilty of sexual assault

A Gold Coast plastic surgeon has avoided prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a patient during a consultation in May 2015.
Ces Colagrande, 46, was found guilty at Southport District Court today following a six-day trial on a single count of sexual assault.
He was given a nine-month jail sentence, wholly suspended for 18 months for his crime.
Colagrande's lawyers had tried to claim the 24-year-old woman, a stripper and nude model, had lied about the assault after being dissatisfied with a breast enlargement she'd undergone in October 2014.
But the jury agreed with the woman's version of events, that Colagrande hugged her, grabbed and slapped her buttocks, and then said she wanted to "f*** and f*** now" during the consultation.
The court also heard Colagrande had rubbed his crotch into the woman's groin during the brief, one-minute assault.
Colagrande showed little emotion as the verdict and sentence were handed down.
