Three people have been arrested after they allegedly punched, kicked and pushed police officers trying to break up an early-morning pub brawl in Ipswich, west of Brisbane.

Police responded to reports of a fight outside an Ipswich pub about 1.30am today.

While a male senior constable was attempting to arrest a man, a 22-year-old woman allegedly tried to pull him to the ground and punched him in the back of the head.

She then allegedly struck and kicked a female constable as she was being arrested, also damaging a police radio.

Police were attempting to move a 35-year-old woman away from the area when she allegedly pushed a female sergeant backwards.

The officer, who fell backwards and hit her head on the pavement, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The older woman has been charged with two counts of seriously assaulting police and obstructing police.

The younger woman has been charged with two counts of seriously assaulting police, obstructing police and damaging police property, while a 28-year-old man was charged with public nuisance and obstructing police.

The trio will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on December 6.
