Qld man survives snake bite

A north Queensland man has survived a bite from a deadly brown snake, one of the most venomous in the world.
The 28-year-old man was bitten at Mungalli south of Cairns on Tuesday night.
He called triple zero and was able to bandage the bite, believed to be from a native Australian brown snake, before paramedics arrived shortly afterwards.

The man was taken to Atherton Hospital in a stable condition.
