Forensic officers have searched a house in central Queensland as they continue hunting for the bodies of two young murder victims.

House mates Chantal Barnett, 27, and Robert Martinez, 26, are presumed to have met with foul play and a homicide investigation has been underway since September.

They were last seen alive in the Rockhampton/Yeppoon area almost a year ago, in late February or early March.

Police on Friday revealed forensic teams had examined a house in the Rockhampton suburb of Parkhurst overnight.

Inspector Scott Moon will brief the media later on Friday on the investigation.

In November, officers searching for the pair's bodies scoured bushland along the Fitzroy River, southeast of Rockhampton, following specific information given to police.

But the bodies remain missing, and no-one has been charged over the disappearances.
