A man who was allegedly found with $10,000 worth of ecstasy powder in his Brisbane home is a wannabe bikie, police say.

The large stash was allegedly found in the home of 23-year-old Daniel Rajendra Pillay, who was arrested on Tuesday.

Rebels gang paraphernalia including clothing, photos of Pillay in Rebels clothing at gang-related events, and a club flag was also found, according to police.

Officers also allegedly located cannabis and ammunition.

Police say they have evidence that the accused man was a Rebels nominee who was seeking to become a patched member.

He's been charged with three drug-related offences and possession of explosives.

Pillay didn't apply for bail when he appeared briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A lawyer from Legal Aid indicated he would apply for bail on Thursday.
