A Qantas plane carrying 102 passengers has been evacuated after landing at Perth Airport, officials have confirmed.

Qantas Link aircraft QF 1623 travelling from Newman to Perth was evacuated shortly after landing at Perth Airport around 11.36am.

It is believed the pilot reported hydraulic issues on the descent into Perth and raised the alarm.

All 97 passengers and five crew members were safely evacuated via emergency slides and bussed to the terminal, a Perth Airport spokeswoman confirmed.

“No emergency landing was requested by the pilots,” Qantas said in a statement.

Emergency services attended to the scene as a precautionary measure.

The cause of the incident remains undisclosed.
