A punter is suing Crown Casino after slipping on vomit and fracturing his neck and hip.

Michael Stephenson, 48, claims the casino was negligent by failing to clean up the hazard in Jackpot Bar on December 22 in 2017.

Mr Stephenson today told reporters the Melbourne entertaiment venue's handling of the incident was "horrific" and "horrendous", claiming he was tipped onto the ground from his wheelchair by security as he waited for an ambulance to arrive.

"Within seconds of hitting the floor, I knew I had a broken my hip," he said.

"I said: 'do not touch me, I've broken my hip.'

"I had further discussions with the security because I couldn't remove myself from the wheelchair - then just tipped onto the ground with garbage trucks reversing in for two hours before an ambulance arrived.

"You wouldn't treat your worst enemy like that."

The man required multiple surgeries due to his injuries, including a screw operation for his right hip and neck.

The fall also aggravated his pre-existing knee injuries.

Lawyer Isabelle Murphy from Zaparas Lawyers said Mr Stephenson was claiming for pain and suffering damages, as well as growing medical expenses including future surgery and rehabilitation required.

"He's pursuing a case for a breach of duty of care," she said.

"I think the way that Michael was treated by Crown left a lot be desired. We hope that Michael is able to obtain adequate and fair compensation to indemnify him for the injuries he's sustained."
