Home targeted in public shooting south of Sydney overnight

Shots were fired at a home in the Wollongong region of New South Wales overnight, sparking a police investigation.

At about 2am, police were called to Berton Close, Fairy Meadow, after reports of gunfire.

Police were told a number of shots were fired at the front door of a home before a vehicle was seen driving away.

There were four people inside the home at the time.

No injuries have been reported.
