Psychologist accused of alleged indecent assault of boy patient

A psychologist has been arrested for allegedly indecently assaulting a boy who was a patient at his clinic on the NSW mid north coast.

The State Crime Command's child abuse squad had been investigating the 51-year-old man and made the arrest at his Coffs Harbour clinic on Monday morning, NSW Police said in a statement today.

It's alleged the man was treating the child as a clinical psychologist at the time of the attacks.

The man has been charged with four counts of indecently assaulting a person under 16.

He's been granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Coffs Harbour Local Court in July.
